Got up this morning got ready for my oral surgery appointment at 7:00 AM, took my pre-op packet of five different pills. My fiance' drove us to the Dr's office, checked in, sat and waited for my name to be called. We were then led back to the room where they would be doing the surgery, I was seated in a dentist chair. One of the nurses gave us the list of "Do's and Don't's" as well as the emergency numbers, while she had me distracted another nurse poked an I.V. in my arm and started a bag of glucose (Breakfast!!). The Dr. came in asked me how I was doing, was I feeling the pill coctail yet, "Oh Yeah" was I ever. He told me he was going to give me just a little more to put me into a "Twilight Sleep" I would be able to talk to them and follow directions but wouldn't remember a thing. I felt something cold go up my arm and asked for the warm blankie they offered earlier, then out went the lights.
Next thing I remember My fiancé is trying to fold me up into my beetle, I remember telling him that if he put the convertible top down it would be easier! He wouldn't, I was miffed at him and he laughed! The Sweetie stopped at Dairy Queen and got me four shakes, bannana, strawberry, Orange Julius and vanilla at least I think we stopped at Dairy Queen. I do remember the cold ice packs one on each side, freezing my cheeks off, he took them from me and set them somewhere because I was only supposed to keep it on for 10 minutes every half hour, it felt good on my sore cheeks though.
Once home he took me potty, got me back together, took me to my room laid me down then laid down with me stroking my hair and rubbing my neck until I nodded off again. Around 10 AM and my mouth was still pretty numb but I was hurting now, so he gave me one Percoset, I then got my Ipad and was going to start posting myTake on Wisdom Teeth, I do remember not being able to figure out how to do so and answered a question on "Girls, m/f...60/40, 50/50 or 40/60 in terms of contribution to the relationship?" it must have been a good comment because it got MHO!
Around 2:00 PM I found that I was back in bed and ready for another one of those feel good pills, because right at the moment I really didn't. I was still feeling rather woozy as I made my way to the family room where my Mom and my guy were hanging out. He asked if I was in pain, yep downloaded one more of the pain pills sat down and tried to watch whatever was on TV as I spooned a little of the frozen vanilla shake. Mom told me later that I was talking about my Prince Charming how he took care of me this morning! I evidently kept the two of them in stitches until I was pointed back to bed with a fresh ice pack. Thankfully all I have been able or wanted to do is sleep and eat a little frozen milk shake every time I get up for a fresh pain pill.
It's now after midnight, for some strange reason I am wide awake! I just took another pain pill, fiance and my brother are watching Myth Busters. I try to watch here and there but they are drifting, running a car around some sort of pylon course thing, which if I watch too much makes me really dizzy. I've already eaten two rootbeer popcicles and really want another must be those pain piAllstate, I usually don't like popcicles they're too sweet.
So, right now my answer to the question of "Does it Hurt to have Your Wisdom Teeth Pulled?" Would have to be "Yes, it hurts to have your wisdom teeth pulled. The Pain Pills Suck, I still hurt after taking one but don't really care that I hurt or something like that. My poor cheeks look like a Chipmunk getting ready for winter. I'm so cold I just wanted to go out to the hot tub with Bryce, but can't. Not supposed to take a hot bath or hot tub until like Tuesday because it could make a blood clot or something. All I know in my cloudy brain is that having your wisdom teeth out is a real pain in more than my jaws!
I think I'm ready to wander back to bed pretty quick, whether I go to sleep or not, I'm so glad my Bryce is taking care of me guess he really is my Prince...
I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled in June 2015, I'm just getting around to posting the take I've had saved since then. Hope it makes you chuckle as much as it just did me when I reread about my fun weekend.

Hell yes! It hurts like hell! When I was going to get mine pulled, I was scared that my face was going to swell up and I wouldn't be able to go home until it went down. When it was over, the right side of my face was numb, my mouth was drenched with blood and I had a lisp for the rest of the day. My face didn't swell up and the next day, I was feeling fine. I went to work and got back to school that night. But, I turned in my essay and my teacher made me read it to the entire class.
I haven't had my wisdom teeth removed but my crush and I were texting a ton when she got her's removed. She called me right after the surgery too and she was talking nonsense and crying, and later she said she didn't remember that.
hoping to avoid that
