Video games aren't harmful to your health, it's when people who're idiots and have no self control or super suggestible minds play them that it goes wrong. It's like when people go "OMG GAMES TURN KIDS INTO MURDERERS". No they don't, idiots kids with no supervision do that and ruin it for everyone else. What a bunch of baloney.
I don't play much video games 🎮 tbh
It's better to play football or volleyball or something else
I like your myTake
Great job 👌
But not better than a blowjob :P LOL
thanks! :D
save the innapropriate comments for later xD
Oh I forgot
#BriShouldBeEditor 💁
well nothing else better to do in life, all my dreams and wishes never will come true even if i turn off the game console etc
usually these "game addiction" postings are from people who have a life handed to them so they look for excuses to judge others who dont have a life
so get over it, entertainment is here to stay, its been around for thousands of years.
The only one i feel like actaully hapoens is poor eye sight
Been playing games my whole life... my thumbs are not nubs, my back is fine, you can play video games and take showers so hygien is a super dumb point
Also why didn't you list any possitives of video games? Like how its confirmed that they increase hand eye cordination... just saying
Video games are harmful if you spend so much time on them, just as everything else.
Everything needs a limit.
Nah fam. No o e is taking my games. Plus, if I go out for things other than school or work then I would have to deal with more people I dislike than I already do. XD
i never said you had to stop playing video games. just using some of the tips to making gaming a healthier habit can save u in the long run from bad eyesight and bad vision in general, back problems or hunchiness, bruised and ruined fingers and cramped, strained muscles, and problems sleeping or lack of sleep. just trying to help.
It sucks that gamers get such a bad reputation from greasy nerds in their parent's basement. Some of us play games, work out, work, have friends and can sit straight in a chair... it's not that complicated.
These are great tips Bri. Luckily I am deeply involved in playing hockey and don't have much time for gaming but these are great takes for people who are serious gamers.😀
One day last summer I was up all night playing a video game. I was playing and all of a sudden I notice the sun coming in the window. It was 6:30 AM!
I figured there was no point in going to bed then so I played until 8:30 and then went to work.
thats too long to be playing video games. how was your day at work afterwards?
Not too productive... not as bad as you would think, though. Caffeine helped.
lol ok
did u enjoy mytake? lol did u even read it
I did actually LOL. I know it looks like I was so eager to spew my story that I jumped to the comment section. I agree; it is unhealthy sitting for that long. Unfortunately my job entails the same kind of sitting in front of a terminal.
ok, thanks! glad to know :)
The only side effect I experienced from hardcore gaming is that I lost most of my life.
you're 21. the most of your life is still ahead of you
@Raymond_Reddington Who knows if I'll wake up tomorrow or not. I'm speaking of my past.
@YourFutureEx ah you're one of those huh? and the first 20 years of your life is not the most of your life, being my point.
@Raymond_Reddington one of those? Errm who?
Oh come on man. You know what I meant. I'm going to live 100 years.
@YourFutureEx you're one of those who seriously think they might not wake up tomorrow. which i find stupid at your age. unless you have some kind of illness, which i hope you don't. and tbh i did not know what you meant.
@Raymond_Reddington No. I was being defensive.
@YourFutureEx you had no reason to be defensive :P
Women fucking hate video games because they're not getting attention LOL
Fuck them!! Video-Games >>>>>>>>> Women
Why can't they play together?
Aww so innocent...
There are still many out there who would fall for this.
Fall for what?
Your cunning, defective and treacherous ways... All under the guise that you are the most innocent and good creatures on earth.
Women's liberation is the death of men. Thankfully men are waking up, and shunning women in large numbers all over the feminist world...
What disguise? Who's being a feminist? What does that have to do with playing video games?
Such innocent questions...
nope i personally love video games
these are just some possible health conditions, and i do all the tips to make my gaming experience a healthier habit bc i care about my health and no i do not play video games as often as most people
One of the many reasons why video-games are MUCH better than you is that you can never be truly genuine about anything...
We don't need your FUCKING help whether its by nagging, patronizing or breaking/hiding our Playstation... we just need you to shut up...
dont sit for more than 4 hours at a time
https://prntscr.com/aguqe0
:^)
I don't know i always play games but i still exercise, do hw, go to school do my chores...
That's the equivalent of saying oxygen is harmful to your health.
Which it is
If any of these happened my boyfriend would be screwed, he games a lot and has never had these problems lol
I used to play a lot video games but didn't jeopardize my health... nowadays i don't do heavy gaming just one to two hours max on occasions... good take
video games don't cause poor eyesight (neither is straight up watching tv). that's a myth
Actually it does. Staring at a screen constantly means that your eyes are focused on a single object that is a fixed diayance away, over time the lens in our eyes? That flexibe little muscle that lets us see clearly whether its further away or closer? Yeah it wears down a d will eventually become almost stuck in the position ti allow you to see the screen best. But it will have trouble focusing on everyday life.

I am doing a traineeship for game design.
It wouldn't have been in the OH&S debrief if it werent true.
I dont care for a single resource, if i wasn't on my phone id give you hundreds.
@BaileyisDarcy ok, you don't care for a single source? want me to post more that are way more credible? sitting too close or looking at a screen for too long can strain your eyes temporarily, but does no permanent damage to your eyesight to the point where your focus gets stuck. that's not how muscles work. also, if i post another link, i'd like to know how a video game design trainee knows more than a dude who studied in med school and is an ophthalmologist...
Anything done excessively is harmful for your health
I would say if you play them obssessively, yes, they are. To the body and to your sleep cycle.
There was a period in my life where I would play dota 2 for 12-16 hours a day for a week every now and then while partaking in tournaments. was it healthy? Probably not but I survived. Was it a great life experience? definitely.
