There is no hard and fast rule to say or imply what is right and what is wrong. People have a right to live as per their convenience and reap the benefits or face the consequences. There are some aspects of the bodies that cannot be changed , example complexion and height. Hence we should learn to accept them as the are. Weight can be controlled but sometimes , its a difficult proposition and all people are not able or willing to do so. Focusing on health implies a not more things then we normally imagine. No body can focus on health in a perfect way. There are always things that are out of control. Just like we accept people for being gay or bisexual or people who divorce their partners , we should be able to accept who are thin or fat.
I agree with you o the fact that being fat is not okay and shouldn't be praised. However, there is nothing wrong with feeling good in your own body, even if you aren't perfectly healthy. Also, it definitely is okay to eat those cookies, unless it'S in excessive amounts.
I completely agree.. I believe everyone is beautiful but I also believe in being healthy.. there are a lot of healthy people that are bigger and that are smaller but it's great if that feel good in there body! I am not skinny but I do crossfit 3-7 times a week and I eat healthy yet I'm not skinny.. I am curvy and I like it.. yet seeing bigger people and then saying to love how you are has helped me feel that way but I do agree on being fit and healthy! (This probably makes no sense but I tried haha)
Who cares? Leave people alone. If a fat person wants a cheeseburger, they are allowed to have it and not feel guilty. Despite what you and other people think, it is possible to be fat and still love yourself. Just because you'd hate yourself for being fat doesn't mean other people have to. I don't get why that's hard to understand and accept. Not everyone needs to be in shape to love their looks. We don't all operate the same or think the same.
Exactly what I think. I often try to tell people about this problem but they don't seem to understand that exercise is life. You don't need to be really sporty, just do a simple exercise regularly and you'll be fine. For example, I do as many push ups as I can before going to the shower. I started with 20 and now I can go up to 70 in a row.
lol this is not a new issue. certainly, not on here.
i agree, your physical health should come before emotional health although the two can be interrelated. i think the important thing for people especially women to know is that it doesn't matter if some people find you too fat or too skinny and that deficiencies on either side of the spectrum can be overcome with self acceptance
Obesity is probably why Obamacare is failing and unaffordable. I could get on board with supporting Obamacare if obese folks were sent to special fat camps as it would save billionsome. We should have a special fat tax not on fatty foods but on services for fat people in subways, planes, buses, restaurants. Also obese people should be banned from elevators.
@Blonde401 Should taxpayers be forced to pay ever increasing premiums as Obamacare struggles to cope with the weight of dealing with the health problems of the obese? On transport should obese people who add extra weight and take up two seats not pay for two seats or should other people just pay extra overall? If obese people can't help themselves shouldn't the taxpayers considering it costs the taxpayer in the long run? Would former obese person not be happy upon release from a fat camps? At the very least we need to stop welfare for being too fat to work.
I'm not from the states bud, so don't hit me with the Obamacare crap. You need to encourage things, you can't force people. They're human beings and what you're describing is wrong.
@Blonde401 more and more we've been approaching problems like the obesity epidemic a the sugar coated carrot instead of the tried and tested stick and things have been getting worse. Now if go to the mall you see obese little girls and boys waddling around with litre of coca cola in one hand and a triple cheese burger in the other. Time to go back to the 50's.
How about no you idiot. You want segregation and no rights for gay people and women to stay in the kitchen? Fuck you then. I literally hate people who say "boy the 50s was the golden age" no it fucking wasn't.😡
@SeraBarton despite the segregation and racism the 50's were a golden age for black Americans and we started going down hill ever since. Women always worked despite what feminist dogma and it was advancevents in technology and medicine as well as job creation in the 50'sthat allowed more women to go our to work. Yes more women cooked back then and took a more active nurturing role in raising their kids I don't see what's wrong with compared today's kids who are made obese by the sloop that comes from microwave dinners and raised by strangers (nanny, daycare, teacher, babysitter, television) all who spend more time with their kids than their parents. The 50's was a golden time simply because an ordinary could work hard buy his own house, send his kids to college and live a pretty decent lifestyle. Now a days even though you may have a college education doesn't mean you won't work in Starbucks for the next twenty years. Time to make America great again.
I can tell you're a person I could never agree with, you're simply wrong on all counts. The 50s was a horrendous time to be anything but a white man. I can't tell if you're a troll or you actually believe that shit but all I can say is that I'm glad that time doesn't go backwards😊 images6.fanpop.com/.../...s-32656539-2048-1536.jpg
@SeraBarton I tell you what it's been pretty to be a black man since. Mass incarceration of black men in this country has increased to a level where 1in3 is in jail, has been in jail or will be in jail. Epidemics of drugs in the projects of ghettos. Mass unemployment of black men. Forced existence on welfare. The breakdown of black families with kids with no fathers. Black on black murder. Mass poverty. The black community was strong in the 50's but was broken by racist white liberals so they'd vote Democrat. Things are at the stage that white women enjoy privilege and special treatment that no one else enjoys.
yes i agree to an extent i think being too fat is a problem but if your tubby and like to eat then whats the harm its their life its not really for us to judge
I always thought "body positivity" was how you feel about yourself, not what you think of other people.

As an American I agree 100% about the new twisted positivity. As for body "types" that is a relatively new thing. Trust me guys like all the body types, always have even before they invented "body types"!
I don't like the fat type. Some do, but I don't. So it's not like "guys like all the body types", but "all body types are liked by guys, but most guys only like some body types".
Types are supposedly "shapes" of different girls, for instance pronounces hips, butt and tits are "curvy" not the fat girls that claim they are "curvy". Fat is not a type, but you are right there are some cubby chasers out there.
"Body positivity" is the climax of the regressive American leftist culture. You know the "oh no, it's retarded" dog meme? That is what body positivity is for america.
I don't care about any of this. It's their body to do what they wish. I'll neither encourage nor discourage them. If they want to work out 7 days a week, great. If they want to eat a pint of ice cream a day, great. None of this affects me. If an overweight person feels happy in their body who am I to burst that bubble.
I honestly don't give a shit about healthiness, each one can choose however he wants to live, I do not care if the woman smoke, or drinks (unless it is to the point of being unable to formulate phrases) or drugs herself (same). What is actually terrible about this "positivity spread" is that basically they are saying to people they aren't allowed to have tastes.
Tess is too fat. I guess she would look pretty if she hit the treadmill or something. PS. People judge me just like they judge a book by it's cover. I'm thin, but very healthy, to be honest (not bragging).
its more like denying reality is the problem, and self righteous lying to everyone. its okay to be proud but shove it in my face and I hate you forever

I think the message of body positivity is for one to not judge themselves too harshly if they don't fit a mold, and for others who judge to FUCK OFF!!
It is. But nowadays it's used to excuse obesity, and that is wrong to me.
That's their life, point blank.

You're describing a form of fascism there.

So have a nice day

Honesty, not positivity. Nothing to be positive about if you're an ugly hag.
😂😂😂
I take a big fat dump on body positivity
Nothing more than an excuse to be a fat lazy pig and expect sympathy from others

Yeah, but there's also the too-fat-to-fit-through-a-door-unless-sideways type of girls...
"Body positivity" is the climax of the regressive American leftist culture.
You know the "oh no, it's retarded" dog meme?
That is what body positivity is for america.
Exactly and it's making extreme obesity acceptable
I don't care about any of this. It's their body to do what they wish. I'll neither encourage nor discourage them. If they want to work out 7 days a week, great. I agree so much. It's getting ridiculous lately. There's healthy weight range and people should try to keep close to it in my opinion.
I honestly don't give a shit about healthiness, each one can choose however he wants to live, I do not care if the woman smoke, or drinks (unless it is to the point of being unable to formulate phrases) or drugs herself (same).

Agreed. Some people don't like to hear the truth... so they lie to others and them self with this crap.
