But about a month ago I found a method and so far it seems to be working.
Basically, what I did was, during the first 2 weeks, when I had a craving, I didn't suppress it. I bought a pack and smoked a few, BUT THEN, when the craving was gone, I threw the pack away when it still has at least 10 cigs in it.
And I didn't throw it into the kitchen bin where 7 hours later I would just dig through the trash and find it again. I threw it out the window from my 30th floor apartment which meant I will never find that pack again.
I did this about 10 times in the first 2 weeks.
Also in the last month, I haven't met any friends who smokes.
And, somehow, gradually, I stopped having the craving. I stopped buying a new pack to smoke a few and throw away. I stopped completely and haven't had any real cravings for the last 2 weeks.
Hope this helps anyone wishing to quit.
