My girlfriend is jealous because my urologist is female?

I`m going to get a prostate exam (unfortunately) and my urologist is a female. I personally don`t mind and it doesn`t bother me. How ever my girlfriend is jealous and is slightly pissed off at this, at first she got a bit angry, then gave me the silent treatment. My appointment is tomorrow and this is just... -_-

Your girlfriend needs to understand that a penis is a penis. People that do this for their profession are NOT looking at you in a sexual way (well for the most part, at least...there are always a few crazies everywhere)...I've given a few prostrate exams and there was nothing about it that was inappropriate...I was checking to see if their body was in check...just routine...

The fact that she is jealous about something like this could be a red flag...so watch out

Hmmm...Well think of the flip side. Would you mind at all if your gf's gynecologist was a male? I don't think her behavior is mature, she could have expressed herself better. Lol at all the male answerers being hypocrites! There was a question here about male gynocologists and how girls were secretly cheating if they wanted to request one but now they're calling a girl insecure and pathetic for doing the same thing.

I never have heard guys being too keen themselves on having a female do that. They worry about their penis size or getting an erection.
I think it's absolutely ridiculous your girlfriend is upset. It's a doctor, it's an examination. It's not supposed to be sexual in nature, which still has little to do with the fears I mention above.
