How do I lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks the healthiest?

Okay, so I am unable to work out because I have had three surgeries since mid February due to cancer in my femur. I have always been an active person and so have never had to worry about what I ate. Since I was on crutches for 3 months straight I could not do anything then, and even now I am only allowed to walk short distances. Not doing anything is really taking a toll on my mid section and ass. I have been doing some ab exercises, but no change. I eat like a man, mean I eat everything and anything and a lot of it. So far, I have cut out soda and only drinking water and the occasional glass of milk. I have also tried cutting down on my portions, but become EXTREMELY hungry! Does anyone know of anything I can do to help lose about 15 lbs in about 3 weeks?
