Anyway... i do. As it happens with energy drinks. Food and enegy drinks were supposed to give you energy, but in me it goes vice versa. I feel weak and sleepy after eating.
What about you?
That should not happen, IMO. You're possibly depressed. Do you have a strong reason for being? Or do you feel a bit lost?
Lifestyle habits won't help that. Energy drinks won't help you. They give you a quick sugar buzz, followed by a huge slump. Same applies for any high glycaemic foods. White bread, chocolate, sugary drinks, sugary foods, beige food. Greasy food will also make you feel sleepy (cause your body has to somehow process that shit).
You need to eat things that keep your energy levels quite constant throughout the day. Eating numerous small meals, regularly. If you miss breakfast, for example, then have a huge lunch time meal, you're allowing your sugar levels to drop massively by not eating, and then putting a huge amount of sugar in your body during your next meal (which is usually large to compensate for not eating earlier). Your body releases insulin and the other hormone, i forgot what it's called, to compensate for the processing of any food that you intake, if you don't follow these basic guidelines, your body has to do a lot of work to process and account for these huge hormonal peaks and troughs.
Basic dietary principles apply. Try and eat low glycaemic food (brown rice, sweet potatos, brown bread etc, instead of their usual counterparts), eat little processed shit (make your own food, don't eat ready meals, any food you buy should only contain a few ingredients), eat as little synthetic shit as possible (all the strange ingredients they add to food to make bad food low calorie and low sugar), lots of grains, lots of vegetables, some lean meats, some legumes, some mixed nuts (again, unsalted, naturally), some fruit. Allow yourself some treats. The mainstay of any diet should be vegetables and grains. I'm not a big fan of dairy and eggs but I know this is contentious. For breakfast, I'll typically have a bowl of oat cereal, almond milk, with assorted nuts.
i'm not depressed. strange thing is that it happens only in lunch and not dinner. after 30 mins or so it's like some invisible force pushes me towards to the back of my chair to make me fall asleep. otherwise if i try to stand straight, my head falls to the desk. well you know what i mean
Well habits are incredibly powerful when doing anything. If your body is used to sleeping at that time, that you have to fight a bit the inevitable drowsiness that comes along. Your schedule should be sufficiently dynamic, ideally, that you shouldn't be sleeping at lunch time. Hence why I said, reason for being.
sometimes it might destroy my schedule that stupid drowsiness
like food coma? it depends how much I eat. if I just have a gorge of food one day then I'll just wanna kick back put on some Netflix and sip on tea or something hahaa. I hate food coma, but what surprises me is that every Thanksgiving dinner that comes by and I eat a ton of turkey I never get sleepy:P because turkey has a chemical in it that makes you sleep hahaa.
No, but I eat in a very healthy way - mostly vegetarian. It is actually a bad sign when you feel sleepy after meals. You should reconsider your diet
i don't eat a lot... never make this thought about me plaese
I get like that with coffee sometimes, but with food, not unless I gorge on it
Same here, there's a scientific explanation for that, google it

I feel sleepy after some meals, but then it could probably be because i'm a student and I have to attend lectures after meals.
No. I never eat to the point where I get in a food coma
I DON'T EAT A LOT... DAMN IT!!!
Dude! Maybe you do and you don't realize it
Then how the hell i'm still 122 lbs? don't make me laugh. I eat as less as i can in order to remain thin
Maybe you're short
You eat as less as you can
That's your problem. Your body needs food for energy. If you're not giving it enough food then obviously you're going to be tired.
i'm 5'7" so i'm consindered thin
better be tired than fat
Ok then there's your answer. Good luck
You probably have too many carbs and are crashing.
