Am I an alcoholic? or not?

so I drink whenever there is alcohol. I drink alone at least twice a day. and whenever there's a party im on my way already wasted... im 18 and when I go to the partys I just sit in the corner drinking. I don't know if id get withdrawals because I just don't stop drinking for long enough to find out. I drink vodka in a sprite 2liter at school. is it really as bad as my friends say?

You really need to admit to yourself that you have a problem, hon. Sounds like it's definitely interfering with your life on a daily basis (drinking at school, antisocial solo drinking at parties, drinking multiple times a day)... sounds pretty serious. There are so many resources out there for you to get help! My life has improved sooo much since I got clean (2 years next month), and I had a pretty serious drug habit for a long time. Withdrawal from alcohol is VERY serious, so you prolly don't wanna just quit cold turkey if you've been drinking that much vodka everyday. I'm sure there are rehabs in your area, worst case just go into a hospital and they will at the very least refer you to a program in the area. You should be able to find a place online nearby tho or look at other options too. Good Luck! I'm not gonna bore you with some 12 step-type talk that you're prolly not ready to hear, but just know that you can overcome this.

I don't share my drinks. my sister always has some if she doesn't my parents do. its in the house I live in so I just drink it. I spend most of my time at home.

Oh ok... then thats just semantics hon. Just cuz you don't physically buy it doesn't mean you have any less of a problem. Don't you think you'd be happier if you didn't spend as much time at home drinking?

and you just said you spend most of your time at home, so... but yeah, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone, a lot of people have problems with alcohol and drugs and overcome them. If you think you have a problem and wanna get better, I'd be more than happy to give you ideas on a next step

well I really don't... I think I could completely stop drinking but I don't have to so I havnt found out

I'f say at the very least you have a depency problem. Alcoholism is developed over time. At this rate you are your way in no time.

Just don't drive. That will f'k up your life, at least for awhile. Trust me on this one. Unfortunately, I know this all too well, and I only drink once or twice a week, brah. :(
