Just kidding, I run a pretty average 7-minute mile. #Thinspired
I work out five days a week (sometimes four) and base its rotation in terms of muscle group while often changing it up to stress the muscles when going through a burn phase or hot switch. I (often) stick to a combination regiment which incorporates my military, HS wrestling and college baseball workouts and rotate them per each "muscle" day. Stomach/lower back is mandatory for every workout (regardless of which muscle group day it is) as defined abs/obs are difficult to keep and especially difficult to keep when one doesn't follow the typical diet plan to have them.
Cardio is also a mandatory daily function on the 5 day workout plan and is always done to begin the workout regardless of muscle group day.
Looks like you got it set. Yeaa buddy!
I got 4 days of lifting and 2 days of cardio. Im still adjusting my splits so at the moment I'm just seperating it as 2, upper and lower. Except for lower I add abdominals. Same with the cardio days, abdominals than cardio.
Seems like a great workout.
I love lifting. I've been lifting since I was 14 and it makes me so happy. Walking, running and swimming bores me death. But I like riding my bike around (outdoors) an I like hiking. But yeah weight lifting is my shit. But I'm considering to go more cardio because I hate my body
Guuurl how much you squat? xD
Weight training burns more calories, and it keeps your body burning calories even after you've stopped exercising so its what i always do, however I prefer cardio, but its just not as affective! Plus definition is sexy ;)
@Taurus05 there is a little thing called tolerance, you build it ;)
@Taurus05 EXCUSES EXCUSES! You know whay my excuse used to be? It used to be that there are just too many guys so I didn't fit in, plus I didn't know what i was doing and I was afraid they would take notice and so I lives in fear of judgements and embarassement. One day I was like "FUCK IT", and I haven't looked back. Last time I was at the gym I saw a guy, i'm going to guess around 50, on a weight machine across from me and he did his little weak presses and stared he just stared at me while i did my own presses, I couldnt give a flying fart and I actually thought good for him for making an effort to exercise at his age. No one is going to sympathize with you, because its only excuses that keep people from exercising!
my grandad is 86 and he goes out cycling and to the gym with much much younger people... no excuse!!!
@Taurus05 oh and my mother is 47 years old and she puts all of her heart into workouts, she say she wants to look like me and she kills it at the gym eveytime! Hahaha dont focus on what people think, focus on what you want for youself.
@Taurus05 that wasn't the topic, you just changed it, and still no sympathy. If you want to be fit you'd find a way. I did at home dvds when I used to fear the gym
@Taurus05 kay fine, as long as you just keep acknowledging you have no will instead of making excuses we can all see right though! Don't whine about it if you aren't going to do anything about it, its extremely annoying.
@med11 oh just saw you there! You're right, complete troll, thanks sexy ;)
Sorry to butt in here but @Taurus05 you're talking to her majesty, Queen Nikki. You should do what she tells you to do!!! Just kidding xD do whatever you want... but she has a point though.
@med11 haha! half troll... love it. Starts with a wind up but then gets caught up in his own BS and forgets he wasn't supposed to be serious... he isn't something to do with that woman asking about Taurus all the time is he? they were weird questions!
@LastGirlScout wait what questions? Haha what did I miss
@CourtJester Good luck getting him to understand and do it. From what I have seen, this guy bombards the younger girls with rapid and constant fury. It's like a dog chasing it's tail. A very large dog chasing it's short tail in extremely large circles.
@lastgirlscout Extremely weird. One of those people who think strippers are his girlfriend too. That type of weird.
@PhiOmega good for you man! I bet you don't have gym membership either, I bet you use your teeth and do pull ups on your shower rail... HARDCORE!!
@QueenNikki I'm not sure if they're related at all up there was this woman constantly asking questions about Taurus men... she sounded as equally nutty.. @med11 strippers who work in the club? Who he's paying to strip?
@taurus05 Out of respect for @CourtJester & @QueenNikki and this being their thread I am not going to humiliate you in this instance. That said, you may want to do yourself a favor and look up the legal definition and how they can be applied to a scenario because, once again, your knowledge base and intelligence is sorely lacking.
@lastgirlscout Yeah, in other words, he's delusional. However, come to think of it, we tax payers likely pay for him anyhow so I should have stated that I (and everyone else who works) pay for them to strip for him.
Recently, I do a combination of cardio with weights on some days (usually twice a week)... a day of Birkham yoga, and the other two days cardio for an hour on a machine
How challenging is yoga though? Enlighten me. Feel like it doesn't do much for the body...
Hmmm I can see that holding a complicated position can build some muscle endurance and balance... it has its benefits I guess hah. Weights over everything though imo.

A little bit of both tbh. Weight training is good, but having that lungs-heart-body helps out a lot. Plus it helps keep a good figure, while weight training allows me to strengthen parts of my body that I can't do with cardio. Then you have all calisthenics!
cardio cardio cardio... I can already lift what I need to lift in life so I don't do weights very much.
Still an advocate of adding weight training to maximize your results. But whatever floats your boat xD
Cardio
I don't enjoy weight training at all, and it always brings about more pain than anything else, so I enjoy the release I feel when doing cardio.
The more it hurts, the stronger you get. Cardio is meh but alright.
I do a 2 mile run down to my gym as cardio then go on running machines and then finish off with an hour of weight training and run/walk back as a cool down
Sounds like a good workout.
I do both. but I love weight training. cardio is eh.
Agreed... cardio is "eh".
I definitely enjoy weightlifting more. Cardio is okay.
Yeaa buddy! My man.
I LOVE Yoga. I prefer slow flow, but I like bikram as well
Is it even that challenging?
@Asker LOL yoga makes you use your own body as a weight, I was shaking like a leaf and it seems I have no flexibility, so I would say it was a little challenging haha
@Themoonlitsky Bikram is difficult but easily (in my view) the most rewarding for the slender/muscular look in men and slender/tone look for women. Good choice on that as Ashtanga would be the only alternative I would consider to Bikram for similar results.
yoga is tough!
Meh. I try it. Be there only for the yoga pants booty though... if you know what I mean.
I get back, hip and ankle problems, I also think I may have sciatica so it find it really helps with pain management.
Yeah, I have sciatica and acute back pain, and it's helped immensely!
I'm all about the weight training right now. I'm looking to build muscle really and get stronger.
Yeaa buddy. Don't forget about getting a lot of protein!
I lift Monday through Friday. Mon, Wed, Fri. I jump rope after. Tuesday I run a 5K after & Thrs. I climb 100 floors on the stepmill. Saturdays I run for 45 minutes. On Sunday I rest.
I only work 1 major muscle group once per week.
i like to masturbate alternating hands to make sure i maintain symmetry
pics or gtfo xD
Words to live by.
I prefer weight training but I'm starting to incorporate cardio into my regimen. I've done it in the past when I was younger but now I need to get back into it.
The only exercise I do is pushups.
Everytime I try to run I feel liquid in my stomach
Maybe your body haven't adapted yet? Consistence is key.
It depends. If I'm at the gym I'd rather do weight training. But in general I prefer cardio activities cos it can get me outdoors doing fun shit (beach swims, hikes, bush walks etc).
i do both, I've decided not to max out on weights though. just upping my volume to work and tone my muscles. i want to drop weight for body building comps and iam already 25 lbs over weight
Both are great. I haven't been doing as much weight training lately as I used to, but I've ramped up the cardio and also yoga, pilates, and judo.
I do both and enjoy both, but I honestly prefer weight training.
Going the right direction gurl!
Haha thanks! :)
Cardio.. but not treadmill cardio, like hiking or biking or swimming, something to get my adrenaline working.
i only do cardio.. someday if i get motivated i'll also do weight training :)
Your profile picture made my night!! Hahahahhaah
:D it's a bit far from what he wanted haha
I pretty much stick to cardio.. I don't need to be jacked I just like to have endurance and feel healthy.
Both are great, but it depends on what you want to do and what your goals are.
Weight training is superior, though.
I only work out. If I'm out of shape I do 20-30 min cardio for 1-2 weeks, depends on my weight and body fat
I prerry much have the same plan you do, combination weight and cardio. I perfer cardio though, I like running and biking, being outside.
i prefer pilates and yoga
Feel like those don't work my body hard enough.
oh :o
I SHOULD do both, but I tend to stick with cardio.
Doing both is certainly an advantage!
I prefer a combo of both
Yup, the best method to keep in shape imo.
gym = hellhole
i'd never go there
I thought of it like that my first day and now it's my... gainzzhole!
Cardio is best if u want duration of working out longer and even faster
weight training and low intensity cardio
I prefer alternate days of both.
I wished i had one.. Its too hard for me
Too hard physically? or too hard mentally? cause physically it's not impossible, there's a lot of seated machines that can get you active.
AKA, I'm to lazy to do anything that resembles hard work. That's why you are fat. You give up as soon as things get hard. Nothing good in life comes easy. And you wonder why people have no sympathy for fat people. 9x out of 10 it's because they are lazy and undisciplined, not because of some birth defect.
everyone should do both
Carbio bro
