When you think about how hard it is to learn to use a myoelectric prosthesis, suddenly being a cyborg doesn't seem so appealing.

Supposing that somebody got the technology to actually make a properly wired machine that is connected directly to electrical impulses in the brain (and operates flawlessly), then it would be pretty awesome. It could be a potential fix to issues with aging- just get fresh new knee joints when yours wear out. Get a new port-a-dialysis when your kidneys go down. Get ocular and cochlear implants when your sight and hearing go out. Would be pretty interesting to see how the technology could be used.

Id get a computer chip implanted into my brain that connects me to cyber space. Id be super smart and be able to fight crime by hacking into plots. I would have acces to the FBI's main data base and would know missile launch codes. i would know all the CIA's secrets. id even know when Obama farts because id be able to hack in to the satellites in space and view him constantly if i wanted. But... id probably only use it to watch cat videos while im in class... or p*rn.
