I am serious. I can't stop taking pictures. What can i do to stop?

Why do you feel you need to do it so much? Are you trying to find that perfect pose in the perfect lighting so that you feel that you will look like a model?--only to post the pictures on Facebook to get positive comments from people? If so, the real issue is the latter, and why it's important to you to get affirmation that you're "hot" from a picture from friends. Do you need this validation from your looks?

Maybe try and look at other girls who post way too much on social media of selfies and remind yourself how silly it looks when they do it. It does. And if you're doing it, you're really no different. Just take a few nice ones and post them and leave it at that. No one likes to look at someone who is apparently really proud of themselves. What's worse is if you're duckfacing and showing off your cleavage. If you're doing that then definitely, you might want to lay off taking the pictures. If you know you're an attractive girl, just know that really beautiful girls don't feel the need to take pictures and admire themselves, they just are beautiful - end of story. Some of the most gorgeous girls I know on Facebook of my friends have ONE picture up. Just them in a non-selfie.

Maybe you'd feel better if you just paid a professional photographer to take some lovely photos of yourself (sexy or not, your choice) for you to enjoy and let people on social media see that instead. They always look more legitimate and capture the real you. The "us" that we think is cute in selfies never fool anyone - never. Whether we duckface or not, you're taking a picture and choosing the look on your face at the time you take the picture and accept it and post it somewhere.

I didn't know this was an addiction that people try and kick, but if you're really having issues, then maybe use your camera to take other pictures as a form of a hobby to divert the attention from you taking pictures of you.

I dont use any social media and dont upload them anywhere. But i do dislike my looks very much and perhaps as you said I am trying to take that perfect picture so I can see a pretty side of me.

Ohhhh then I totally suggest hiring a pro photographer. They are trained to see the perfect angles and lighting that make you look great. And with our technology now to be able to see the photo before it leaves the camera, you can take a look right there and then to see if you like them.

And all of us don't like how we look completely. :( You're do different than the rest of us, and usually the self-consciousness of trying to look good is hindering you from taking a good picture because you're actually trying to hard, thus taking more and more pictures.

Trust me, when you put the camera down and go walking around in town you do NOT look the same anyway, so taking these pictures to try and look perfect don't really matter anyway. Just think that if you find yourself unhappy with your looks, just know you're better looking than other girls out there. People all have different tastes in beauty anyway. You don't like you, probably because you see yourself every day! LOL ;)

You just stop. If you really have that little self control, you can bust in the camera on your camera phone with a sharp tool or rock. But its good you're admitting you have a problem. Most girls are just ok with their narcissism. But its an attention disorder. Either you have insecurity problems and you just need to be ok with yourself, or you have entitlement problems and you need to stop thinking you're better than everyone else, which will make you a lot more likeable and your friendships a lot better because then they will know you respect them too.
