How do I tell the girl I'm dating that I have an STD, and she does too?

Its one of the treatable kind, so from a health perspective its not the end of the world.

Also, I can't say 100% who gave it to who, she could have given it to me, I could have given it to her, as I have a version that has no symptoms at all.

Pretty scared about this, any advice?

Had the phone call.

It was awful, but I was blunt and straightforward and she took it about as well as I could've asked for.

I've dealt with this situation myself. In my case, it was a new guy I was seeing. My ex had given it to me by lying about using protection with another girl while we were on a break. I then slept with a new guy I was seeing and may have given it to him. I had to make that terrible phone call to a guy I'd only been seeing about a month.

I was crying, but he was very understanding. In your case, you don't even know that you gave it to her. She may have given it to you. All you can do is sit her down and tell her you're trying to be responsible, honest, and that you're so sorry you're in this situation with her. She may panic for half a second, but if she really cares about you she'll be understanding. Especially since it's treatable. All 3 of us had a shot and a week of antibiotics and it was gone.

I'd go with the good news and bad news scenario, it'll make it seem like a lighter situation than if you gave her something untreatable. I would also ask her if she had gotten tested before you two got together, because the last thing you want to do is play the blame game and she knows she tested negative before you so now you just look like the biggest ahole in the world.

I hate it to say it but you're just going to have to be upfront and tell her. There's no way to tip toe around something like this.
