No lie an STD would turn me off, realistically that's a huge leap of faith there, then things don't work out with the girl and that person gets herpes too, it will then make it harder to find someone else, most people would just avoid STDs

No that's fucked, the right thing is to mention it and hope for the best cause when he finds out he will be extremely angry with you and whatever you build on top of this lie.. will collapse with it, what about the moment he wants to have kids with you if you reach that moment, let's also not forget if he finds out the hard way he will most likely assume you cheated on him unless he starts the relationship knowing you already had it, and with something like that once he thinks you are a cheater, no matter what you say will change his mind, ever heard of not starting a relationship with lies, it's a valid and catchy saying for a reason.
