HERE IS THE PIC FOR THE PILLOWTOP

I've had sleeping problems as a kid & after joining the military it only got worse, however one gf at the time I was dating had a Tempur-pedic mattress on her bed and I shit you NOT I had problems staying awake on that mattress. I'd sleep easily, it was always inviting, comfy and dream-like. I seriously never felt what a good nights sleep felt like until after that mattress.
Latex foam is best.
You can build your own. Go to the mattress underground website. Talalay Latex is nice.
They sell cheap mattresses on Amazon and Woot. com sometimes. It is hard to tell if you like a mattress by just laying on them at the showroom. Mattress shopping in person is overrated.
You need to pick a firmness based on your weight and how you sleep. If you weight 130 pounds, you are going to want a soft mattress. If you weight 250 pounds you are going to want an extra firm mattress. If you sleep on your side, you are going to want the first 2" to be really soft and then firm based on your weight. If you sleep on your stomach you will want a firmer mattress on top. You can get cheap foam online from the foam factory in Michigan and a few others. They will send you mattress parts in a box for less than you would pay for one in the store. Box springs are overated. A simple wooden platform (wood slats with a sheet of masonite on top) is all you need. If you have a partner you are going to have a hard time getting the perfect mattress if you are both different sizes and sleeping styles. It is better to get a king size mattress made using two twin XL mattresses. If you get hot, you can get a celsion foam or gel topper. When in doubt get a Hastens Bed. ;)
I was thinking of doing some mattress shopping on Amazon simply because I don't want to go in store somewhere else. Some places over price a basic mattress too, which is their job to push a higher price product that sometimes doesn't hold up to it's promise. Usually everyone in my family favors a softer with some firmness not too hard though. This is mostly info I need for my folks than me lol but thanks for the info!
If this is for your parents you are probably going to have to stick with name brands and models. Most people can't seem to buy into just buying 3 pieces of foam and stacking them as a mattress, but it works. The Select iQ is nice and Latex Bliss mattresses are really good too. Kingsdown my side is overpriced but a good feel. You can spend hours reading at sleep like the dead and mattress underground. The guy on mattress underground is so biased towards Arizona latex mattress makers it makes you think he works for them.
*comforpedic iq by beauty rest. I tried one of these out a few months ago. It was a good feel. I don't know if it is durable though.
I like firm beds, I can't sleep on soft "I'm sinking" beds. I think my mattress is like the hybrid one.
I love memory foam. I love the feeling of sinking down into a super soft, squishy mattress.

Mine is type A and I like it. My absolute requirements for comfortable sleep are hard mattress and thin fairly hard pillow.
Put me on a soft mattress and it's back pain, on a thick pillow neck pain :-)
Laying on a memory foam mattress now. Gets hot as fuck, sometimes it's too soft. I much prefer pillow top.
(Bear in mind I haven't tried gel or hybrids)
Pillow Top Mattress. But I like my desk and floor too.
Memory foam looks extremely comfy so I picked B!
I would like a gel foam mattress to try out
Memory foam for me.
