I'm tired of this acne! Any help?

Been suffering of ance for a while now and I can't say I have tried everything, but I've tried several things and nothing works. Unfortunately I can't get anything prescribed by my doctor because I am breastfeeding. I went to a Good Nutrition store where they sell all natural things like tea, pills and etc. You get the point. Bought a soap and I thought it was helping, but no. :( I've tried Sulfur soaps and creams; made me break out even more! I've tried home remedies like lemon juice, honey etc. nothing. It's not severe it's more in the range of mild and moderate. I just feel so unattractive with this acne on my forehead and want to get rid of it fast. Any help? Maybe something you tried at home that worked or a cream or something? Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

I liked pro active, but it bleaches everything, towels, washcloths, pillow cases. The active ingredient has that effect. So after ruining a few things I looked for something different even though I liked it.
Since I had tried every drugstore product went to Sephora and they recommended the Boscia black cleanser. It's charcoal based and combined with the sponge ($18 and gets better ratings than a clarsonic) I get great results. I'm down to a few breakouts around my period and pretty clear the rest of the time. Boscia also came out with an acne cleanser and haven't had time to try because I had just bought a new face wash and it lasts me three months.

Lay off oily foods, junk foods, etc. Eats lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Cut down on meats, esp fatty meats. Low to moderate nuts, etc. Wash face twice and not once when you wash it. Wash it AM, mid day and at night when you bath. A good test to see how well you do face washing is to use an alcohol pad to wipe skin after you wash face to see if it turns brownish. Go0d luck!

I had horrible acne for a long time and changing my whole diet was like the only thing that truly helped. I avoided everything gluten, dairy, artificial ingredients and colors, and sugary foods.

That's the thing though. I've heard people say they've had great results and everything with Proactive, but the minute they stop using it they start breaking out. I may have to try it as a last resort though.

i've been using it for a few years and you really do need to make it part of your routine. I have gotten lazy before where I'd only use it once a day (instead of two) or I'll skip a day of it entirely. i haven't broken out from doing that but maybe in the long run I would.

they have an "Equate" version of Proactiv that you can find at Walmart. it's much cheaper. try starting with that to see how it works. you have to be patient though because you do tend to breakout more within the first couple weeks of using a new product. but after about a month I had beautiful skin. Could be, a fungal infection. Steroid cream helps

Hm never thought about that. I always thought maybe it's genetically or bacterial, but never thought about fungual. Is the steriod cream even safe to use while breastfeeding?

I don't think it's safe to use while breastfeeding, but if you're breastfeeding right now... I think your problem is hormonal :/ I'm sorry I didn't see that part... try dipping a cotton ball in soy milk and apply that to your face for five minutes, then wash it off. You can do this in the morning and at night. Make sure you aren't over washing your face as well
