Have you ever donated your hair to charities like Locks of Love? If you have tell me your experiences, when you did it, why you did it and how you felt? https://www.locksoflove.org/
I'm planning on doing it when my hair gets a little more longer, my hair grows fast so I won't mind doing it again. If you haven't would you be willing to, if you could?

If I ever want to cut my hair, I'll do it, but I'm not ready to give it up yet.

Fyi, if you do donate your hair, I recommend you DON'T donate it to locks of love. I've heard bad things about it. Most of the hair they get isn't used, or it is sold. There seems to have been some fishy business going on with them.

Perhaps donate it to a more reputable charity. There are lots of other charities where you can donate hair. That article I linked lists a few.

Yea, I donated my hair before. I actually just grow my hair out and donate it.
I donated about 16 inches I believe last year. My hair grows really fast. Cuz from last year, I can donate right now another 7 or so inches. I donate it every other year though. Just grow and donate.
I give to Locks of Love.

Yes, I donated it to Locks of Love.
I grew it out to a bit over 12 inches.
I should have asked for a thank you letter just to verify that they got it.

I'm growing it out again right now, this time I'm gonna grow it to 14 inches and maybe next time I'll do 16.

Yes i have donated my hair to locks of love, my class-mate cuts
my hair she has her own hair saloon, last year my hair was long
i didn't want that way any more so i cut it, she asked me if i wished
to donate my hair so i said sure, she wasn't sure whether they would
accept my hair but they did so.

I wanted to forever ago, but my hair was never long enough and I had to shave it off because I got so tired of it (during the summer). I thought down to your shoulder would be sufficient, but it wasn't for me.

I would never donate my hair. Call me selfish but I don't see why people can't have synthetic wigs.
Especially since synthetic are easier to manage and last longer.
Plus, I've heard some organizations throw away lots of the hair and sell the wigs to the people who need them.
My hair is down to my bum.

I have always wanted to but I never have because my hair has always been too short to do it. Now my hair is almost to my butt so maybe I will eventually do it soon :)

Yes I did it I donated like 14 inches when I was 14 and I was excited at first but then I missed my long hair it was weird but I adjusted

I did. You need at least 12" and it cannot be processed or chemically touched in any way. It felt awesome :). Do it!

Yeah I've raised money for cancer research many times. When ever it's a breast cancer event all the college girls do the chop your hair for charity thing and make it a big drama. :p

Wow, kudos to you! :D Are they crying happy or sad tears? I don't cry so easily, I'd only cry if someone messed up my haircut on purpose. If I'm donating it I know what I'm getting myself into by not having long hair for a while.

I don't know, I just take it as a big act. You want to help kids with no hair feel comfortable then you should be proud and do it with confidence. Making a fuss over it just kills the good in it.

In 2009 or 2008 I donated 8 inches of mine. Some of the girls in my life were relieved and some got mad I cut it off. I loved it. When it was super crazy looking I even loved it but riding in a convertible car sucked.
