Is it normal Loosing 1kg+ (3.5lbs) in one day?

As the title says. Is it normal to loose that much weight in one day?
I'm trying to loose weight and I'm slowly taking baby steps.
(No, I'm not starving myself.) I ate a three course meal (everything healthy of course) small but filling portions and this morning I weighted myself and "boom" 1kg+ gone.
Note: I did an hour of sports (just standing there and playing catch) and about 15 minutes of dancing.
If no, what is the average weight loss a day? I just want to know incase I'm doing will affect me later on in life.
Is it normal Loosing 1kg+ (3.5lbs) in one day?
