How do I get rid of this embarassing cold sore, QUICKLY?

I never got a cold sore before and suddenly this embarassing cold sore showed up, only a few days till christmas! I really would like some advice to help get rid of it. Its outside my mouth on the top of my lip. please use some personal experience in answers and remedies to end this quickly!

Abreva on the spot and take some vitamin C to boost your immune system! I have never had a cold sore, but that seems to work best for my girl friends who get them. If all else fails, you can conceal it a bit with some concealer mixed in with lipstick. It slows healing for sure, but at least your Christmas photos will turn out blemish-free.
