I went low carb, not no carb. I replaced carbs from normal breads and pastas with low carb wraps (a brand that has carb balance on the wrapper, i think Mission) and low carb pastas (Richfields) cut out starches like potato and such. I kept eating healthy choices, veggies and fruits, and lost a lot of weight quickly. I ate enough protein to not be hungry. Now if I gain a few pounds, a week of carb watching brings me back around.
You need some carbs otherwise you won't get the nutrients you need. Like potassium. I did Atkins one summer and got these HORRIBLE headaches because I didn't realize it was b/c I was so low on potassium! Look for a set of lifestyle changes that will work for you and your body while working toward wellness.
I'm type 1 diabetic and low carb stuff is hard to find. Meat has absolutely no carbs. But I'm a picky eater so most low carb taste like complete piss.
complex carbs are food for the brain. you need carbs. how about just start losing weight by switching to an all natural foods diet.
@James687 thats good and all but this day and age its good to consume complex carbs, frankly i dont care how caveman survived. no disrespect to your answer the sweet potato is in the top 10 super foods.

its called a ketogenic diet and yes it will make you lose weight, make sure you have a lot of healthy fats though such as nuts, olive oil, avocados and make sure you have a high protein intake, for a girl il say at least over 100grams a day

No, you will not. You will have to burn more calories than you take.
My BF says you will lose weight but you have to still eat things like fruits and vegetables and whole wheat stuff. If you cut out all the nasty junk like sodas and donuts you will prob lose weight.
Yeah I don't eat junk or drink soda.
