I'm scared to put contacts in?

I just bought them today and I'm really really scared. Cause this is my first time putting contacts in my eyes. I guess I'm just scared that I won't be able to take them out. Have you ever worn contact lenses before? Were they easy to take out? How did they feel? Were they uncomfortable?

I wore contacts for half a year. My reason for stopping is because I got lazy and money wasn't on my side. It's not actually hard, I got it on after few tries. WATCH YOUTUBE TUTORIALS OR JUST ABOUT ANY TUTORIALS ON CONTACTS, it really helped me. Once you're sure on HOW to wear them then it'll be alright. I was scared just like you and was very cautious, thats a good thing. If you're aware on what you're doing nothing much can go wrong. HYGIENE! Wash your hands with an antimicrobial soap before you wear contacts. Always keep your nails short, as a guy I don't mind but you're a girl so it's something you gotta get over with.

My contacts dried up several times and just popped out of my eyes cuz I wore them to long. They've also went up behind my eyes, yeah it hurts like hell, but nothing that couldn't be solved.

After months of using contacts you'd get into a routine and you'll be sure of yourself you might not be so careful in using contacts. This is a bad thing. I got to the point where I was lazy. I'd take naps with them on <- very bad idea. So in the end I gave them up and just wore glasses which is a wholee lot easier, just take and wear it, with occasional cleaning.

1. You have hands and fingers, you will be able to take them out. 2. Yes I have, for almost a year. 3. They're easy to take off even if you dont have the knowledge, simple pinch them and the pull them off with 2 fingers. 4. It feels like there's something covering your eyes but you don't see them, kinda like wearing gel or wax too much on your hair. 5. At first it'll feel weird but you'll get used to them until you dont notice. It's only uncomfortable when its dry, its uncomfortable as hell.

when I first got contacts, everytime I try to put the contact in my eye, my eye would twitch and go crazy, It really didn't want me to put the contact in. After a while your eyes will get used to it. And yes taking them out the first time is a bit of a struggle

Yeah, I first got contacts my junior year of hs. At first, it was weird putting them in because I would blink way too much. If you aren't used to handling contacts, it can be easy to drop them or hard to pick them up. It is something that takes practice and time getting used to. It nearly took me a half hour to put them in and take them out when I first started wearing them but now it's less than a minute. They are only uncomfortable if you put them in backwards, trust me, you'll know because your eye will feel weird. If they're in normally, you won't be able to tell.

Yes I've been wearing contacts since I was 13 years old. At first everything probably will look fuzzy with them on. Since your eyes aren't used to them. After that they are comfortable unless they dry out. So always keep some contact solution with you just in case. They are very easy to put in and to put out. Never rub your eyes even if they are itchy. If you rub them then the contacts could get stuck up in your eye and would have to have a doctor take them out. Always remember to clean them well and empty the case once you put them in.

Never had that issue. Normally it would be cold things. makes it feel like your having the moister sucked out of your eyes. So having the AC blasting in ur face with them never feels good.

My friends have them, I prefer glasses I don't like anything in my eyes and my eyes are sensitive, but u put a liquid in your eyes, than open ur eyes and place the contact into your eyes, liquid part them you blink and make sure they stay in, sometimes they come out but rarely, if you don't like them then get glasses like me, they are easier in my opinon

I've worn them. Don't sleep with them on and you should be ok except if your eyes dry out fast then carry eye drops.

You gotta put them in the right way or they'll bug you all day.

I don't like them cause to this day I can't put them on without it taking forever but that's because I don't let anything get close to my eye. That puff of air test thing they do, my reflexes are I hear the click noise and my eye shuts just in time to not let it hit lol

Did you see normally or in a different colour? I used to touch my eye with my fingers before but then i stopped lol because that's dangerous. It's a good thing that you don't put anything in your eye, it reduces your chances of going blind

Oh no I was talking about prescription ones lol. AFAIK nobody who has worn prescription contacts has experienced seeing different colors. I don't know about the color ones.

It's technically illegal for an optometrist to give you contacts without teaching you how to use them. ;o

But can be tough at first to put in, and easy to take out..

Eventually you get used to it.

Well you just need to make sure just the rim of the contacts touch your eye and it should kinda automatically *suck* into your eye.

And to take them out I typically pinch it without my fingernails out.

make sure there aren't any dust particles when you put it on.

and also make sure to bring eye drops in case you feel a bit of discomfort over time

I don't feel them when I have them on during the day.. but getting later at night its best to put in some eye drops to re-moisturize the lense.
