Sporty girls out there, what should I wear biking in the rain?

I bike to work every day, and this is my usual rain outfit. North face is supposed to be a good brand "breathable" and it's not insualted, but I always end up so hot. It's quite hot outside but I want to get to and from work dry. Any suggestions on what I can change?

They call it breathing, but since it contains a membrane, it can only transport a certain amount of sweat outside, whatever good the brand is. If it is hot outside and the rain is warm, its better to wear as little as possible and get wet and take a good shower afterwards. I like getting wet from the rain (if warm) more than getting wet and hot from sweating. Same applies to running in hot rainy weather. If you want to protect your hairs somewhat wear a light baseball cap.

Thanks! The problem is that I'm going to work so I need something that covers my work clothes... no shower at the office lol... any thoughts?

thats more difficult. But try the old fashioned poncho type things. They give more air ventilation under them. Its only more difficult if there is a lot of wind and your lower legs may get more ground water. But its worth a try.

Change clothes at work. Outdoor gear may be breathable, but there is a limit. If you sweat more than it can transport, you will get wet inside. Certainly if you wear work clothes beneath. Those are not made to transport transpiration to the jacket and trousers.
