What is the most amount of cardio you had to do to finish a cut?

I'm posting this question because my babe is going through some hard ass cutting right now, he's doing cardio 5 times a week, 450 calories per session! On top of that he's cutting back on his carbs to 175g! But he is getting ripped, his legs and back are cut up and abs are coming in nicely. So what have you guys done to get ripped?
What is the most amount of cardio you had to do to finish a cut?
