Thoughts on guys with eating disorders?

There's a major stigma around males with eating disorders, that they aren't "manly" or it's a "sign of weakness" I disagree did you know that it's more common for a female to have an eating disorder but males are actually at a high rate. What do I think of that? I think just like any other human being suffering from mental illness they deserve support, love and care to help deal with the issues at hand.

I look at a guy with an eating disorder just the same as I would if a girl were in the same situation. Maybe even worse, because I know how the general attitude is about men with eating disorders especially, that such a thing doesn't exist or it's a cover for something else.

I bet he'd be in a much worse condition mentally due to it being that much harder for him to find support.

i won't judge him. I would look at him exactly the same way i look at a girl with an eating disorder. if i'm close to him, i will help him, but if it's a stranger i would hope (inside of me) that he will get better and recover from it because he's beautiful and doesn't need to feel inferior or dislike himself :)

It's very uncommon.
Usually you hear women have a eating disorder.
I have no thoughts or judgment on this person.
I would just recommend him getting help because nothing good can come from this.

Well my idol Tyler Oakly had a eating disorder once. I wouldn't care about them being a guy I would just want them to fet better!

I would think of him as any other boy unless I am crushing or inlove with him:) it doesn't make you different if you have eating disorder
