Anyone know how to stop it?
Please dont just say will power I have that.
I lost 52 pounds once by going to the gym and dieting, but I had THE perfect diet... no bad snacks, no empty calories, no soda, no fast food, just healthy fruits/veg/lean meats/no dairy/and low carbs. After a while I hit a 3 week plateau. I increased the working out, nothing happened, the scale didn't budge. I tried eating less calories, didn't do much, lose a pound, gain a pound. Finally out of frustration, anger, pity, don't know what, I went to McDonald's and ate a burger and fries, felt bad about it, vowed the next day to get right back to my diet, but the scale indicated I'd lost 3 lbs.
Sometimes perfection isn't perfection at all. We need balance. Simply banning these things for life is going to create an obsession with them in your mind and restricting yourself to just one cheat day a week, isn't going to do much better unless you have intense intense will power. Instead opt for a small treat each day. Have a mini piece of chocolate, go for zero calorie clear soda water which tastes like soda, eat sweet potato chips instead of like lays. Just like exercise, your body is going to try and fight to find balance. If you are always exercising the same exact way and don't do any variety, your body will adjust to a new normal. The same goes for diet. If you only eat say salads everyday, your body will adjust so that that's normal..."it knows" what to expect calorie wise so it won't make extra effort to burn calories, and you will not see any loses.
Small treat per day. Change up your exercise. You'll be fine.
0 calorie jello is your best friend! You get the sweet tooth satisfied and they're a great snack without the fat :D Plus if you think about it, you're really just adding more water to your diet because jello is basically flavored water, so in a way it can benefit you :D
Find yourself a healthy replacement for these:
- Want candy = eat one apple,
- Want soda = drink lemon juice.
And so on. Just don't forget to be aware of the amount of calories.
I crave empty calories everyday. just indulge in very small amounts of them or have a cheat meal a week.

When I do that - and it happens - I don't crave candy and soda... I crave chips! O. o
Hate and love chips. :(
Yea thats part of the etc., lol
Haha Makes sense. xD
Well I'd go with what @BertMacklinFBI advised - have a cheat meal a week. Eat a bit of chocolate/ships/candy one day a week. =)
CHIP!
it's not bad bro... hey it has 2 do wid quantities actually... personally i drink soda daily, and i eat junk-food mostly, but i eat less meals... that's y i don't go fat yo ;)
When I was trying to avoid soda or candy, whenever I felt the craving I would chew a piece of chewing gum. I don't know about you, but I think gum and coke taste horrible together.
Might sound simplistic, but keep doing what you're doing and up your water intake. Shoot for a gallon a day, no lie.
