I basically means someone has a skinny general figure, but concealing a high body fat percentage. Generally, a person like that has thin arms, legs and wrists and lacks muscle mass but has a relative big amount of belly fat.

Being a skiny-fat is a state, not a body type. Caused by bad lifestyle habits. What happens, form a metabolic point of view, is that this person has a very poor nutrient partitioning. Which means the calories they eat goes to belly fat storage and not to muscle building. That is caused by insulin resistance. Insulin plays a big role in the nutrient partitioning. If your body is resistant to it, you'll gain belly fat. If it's sensitive to it, you'll tend. to use ur nutrients to feed ur muscles instead.

It's a dangerous thing, because it can lead to metabolic syndrom, which makes you more prone to diabetes, high blood press and high levels of cholesteral. Luckily, you can reverse that by changing ur life habits.

Skinny fat, not fat skinny. It's when you're thin or at a healthy weight, but because you lack muscle tone, your body is still soft, almost flabby.

Basically we all know a girl who seems super skinny, but he doesn't do anything physical to he that way and she doesn't eat Waltham. But when you go and touch her her body is just squishy and untoned. That's skinny fat. They're basically just chubby or have lots of body fat and to just well shared or they have a bone structure so small that with excess fat they still look slim.
Kate uptown has a flat stomach yet obviously isn't a very fit woman.

"Skinny fat" is when you have litttle muscle yet a high body fat percentage. And because body fat weighs less than muscle, your BMI is low. That means that in clothes you may look skinny and athletic but unclothed you look unfit.

Never heard of it, but to me it looks like a skinny girls with little muscle and visible fat regions (like belly or love handles)
