I'm the same and I honestly don't know what to suggest. They did a study and split people in two groups and found 95% of the population have certain taste buds in which they like most foods whilst the rest have taste buds which taste things differently. I truly believe I'm that 5%. I was told my taste buds would change by my parents, but I'm 20 and they're still the same. Most foods can make me feel physically sick, sometimes just by the smell of it, stir fry being an example. People seem to absolutely love Chinese and Indians, but I think they look and smell repulsive and I'm the only one who thinks it. People look at me in shock when I say I don't like it and think I'm joking!
I'm honestly jealous of people who can munch down and even crave salads. If I could eat foods like that, I would do so but I can't stomach it. It's a pain seeing as I want to get fitter, healthier and get toned. You need a clean diet for that and I just can't do it otherwise I'd starve. Texture and smell is really big to me and if foods have one thing in that I dislike, I will not eat it. I once had a spaghetti dish like 10 years ago and it had a cow vein in it, which I chewed on for a while. I haven't had spaghetti bolognese since. Years after that, I inspected every mouthful of food.
I'm getting fed up of the foods I eat and my mum's always complaining. I feel your pain.

Although you have a Good Point, Make an Excellent Point here, dear, you can't Think about It Nor... Over think about it. You will die trying.
You have it in your pretty head and it's this Dread of all these foods that include everything from A-Z and including the disgusting kitchen sink.
I love chocolate but found out that even my Favorite has bugs in it. I don't think about it because it is so delicious that I Eat it and just savor, not just sit there and Cringe... This is Not living, Only Existing.
Start with your own Favorite foods and go easy... Ease up to Other foods but try and put this out of your mind. End the Research on every Individual food that you touch and get in Touch with Reality that it's Not What we Eat it's How Much that can really be bad at times as well.
Man cannot survive by bread alone... You need healthy veggies and fruits just like any human or insect.
I love to travel and when I lived in Egypt for awhile, I tried stuffed pigeon, which was very delicious. I didn't think about How He got on my plate because if I did... I would never have tried it to tell anyone back home if I liked it or not... Just an experience that even with Chicken, there is Other non foul Fowl.
Good luck. xx

Do what they do with little kids... take 3 bites of something you don't normally eat, and commit yourself to that and slowly work your way up. Tell yourself, 3 bites, and I'm done. Food is meant to nourish your body and right now you are the only one preventing that from happening. As far as bugs in your food, I'm not sure where you got that information, but with cooked foods, they would certainly be dead and further more, your stomach acid alone would digest you if not for a protective stomach lining, so I'm pretty sure a few bugs are no match (plus in many countries, those things are eaten and enjoyed so its not going to harm you). As far as fruit and veg, try smoothies. Blend, blend, blend, so you can drink it down as opposed to just having to eat them raw. If all else fails, SERIOUSLY for your health, you cannot live on a few pieces of food, you will need to see a doctor or a psychologist to help you overcome your food fears. You should not be so scared, that you are literally scaring yourself to a point where you are hungry. That's the truth.

Everything does not have cockroaches and caterpillars in it. Also just eat a little bit of something at a time. Like 4 bites of something, then the next day 5 and so on. It isn't healthy not to eat much, and be hungry all the time. Just remember to wash the foods you eat, they aren't that disgusting when they are clean.
I don't eat much meat other than chicken either, but there's about a billion ways to cook it... and how are we supposed to get you to force yourself to eat a vegetable? I guess you can do what little kids do and wash it down with a drink like a pill.
Eat what is healthy and just eat it.
