Are squats effective alone?

I ask simply to improve my body. I don't ask because I'm on some kind of quest to get a giant butt or because I don't like my body :)

I was wondering if anyone had any tips? And what you do to improve that area of your body? Or if you had any helpful videos of something that worked for you, that would be helpful too. Thanks!

*Also, just a little info about my body in case it helps: I'm 5'0", 110 pounds, 17 years old.
