Does soy protein isolate cause breast cancer?

I've stopped taking it like a month ago because I keep reading articles about how it raises estrogen levels and can help cause breast cancer. Does anyone know about this and is it true?

Honestly, any protein isolate isn't healthy for you because of how heavily processed it is, but it isn't any more carcinogenic than protein isolates derived from animal products. Protein supplements are also not regulated by the FDA, so it's more dangerous because the companies don't legally have to tell you what's in their protein powders. Dairy has nearly twice the amount of estrogen and both dairy and meat produce more IGF-1 than soy does, so avoiding soy and continuing to consume animal products is kind of pointless. So in conclusion, soy is not bad for you and it does not cause cancer or raise IGF-1 levels when eaten every once in a while. 3-5 servings a day is actually beneficial to your health, but too much of it isn't good.

Ok estrogen is a hormone. Hormones don't really do anything. They just signal to your cells what to do. and hormones are distinguished by their "protein coat" which when your body sees that specific protein coat it'll atart doing whatever that hormone tells your body to do. Soy proteins protein coat is remarkably similar to human estrogen and when it is in your blood stream your body thinks it is estrogen so it acts as if there is more estrogen, so essentially you have more estrogen. This is why soy protein isolate causes problems. Now I don't know if estrogen causes breast cancer but it it does soy protein isolate would I directly cause cancer. Hope this helped
