It depends on what type of vegan diet you plan on doing. You can eat high protein, high fat, low calorie vegan or you could do high carb, low fat, unlimited calories vegan. There are a ton of ways to do it, but high carb low fat is the healthiest way to go about a vegan diet. I can't say how fast you'll lose weight though. It's been pretty slow for me, but I'm not really in a hurry to lose weight so I don't mind. I've seen others lose weight super fast though, so I guess it just depends on the individual.

It probably won't i heard it can cure diabetes though! However just make sure you're eating CLEAN foods, no added sugars fats etc. and keep up the good work x
Accelerating weight loss beyond what you're already seeing, a rate of 20 pounds a month, is not healthy. Losing too quickly is bad regardless of how you go about it. Going vegan is not the issue. Health is, and being healthy means accepting you're already going very quickly. If you're looking good to tame it even farther thend you are being self destructive in your weight loss attempts and may have a serious problem you should seek help for.
Yes a vegan diet will help, because meat contains a high percent of fat.

losing weight too fast isn't good for you
also if you dont eat enough, your body will go into starvation mode, and hold on to everything, thus stop you losing weight completely, because it thinks there is no food
