Yes, sex and the city types showed some std farmers doing nonsense and men somehow wanting them after.
Most sitcoms show men as bumbling idiota while women the voice of reason. Utter feministic garbage.
Etc etc.
Most of modern media is brainwashing crap.
There's absolutely NO doubt about it! The fantasy also generates a lot of money for multiple businesses... including movie studios, clothing companies, therapists, etc.

For the most part yes , to draw people in , you have to remember , movies and shows and romantic novels and social media. Is mostly scripted shit , it was plotted beforehand so it’s not really reality , People might assume it is , but they are morons because it isn’t , it’s scripted to draw people in to make money. But sadly there are a lot of people in this world that do not have common sense and assume it’s real , social media was designed as a money making platform to draw us in to make money. But most people lack common sense and that’s how all these things make money , even if people know it’s fake , they still sucker themselves into it and claim it’s entertainment instead of realizing they are paying for fake shit. Look at the WWE wrestling , everyone knows it’s fake but it still makes a shit ton of money and draws in a lot of people making it stay in business, just like sports as well , most sports are rigged to make money , especially hockey and football, the playoffs and the championship game or games are all rigged to make money. and people still drop thousands of dollars to go see it. Unfortunately us humans aren’t that intelligent as people , if we were intelligent , and we all got along , this world would be a much better place and we would all work together instead of against each other , but unfortunately a lot of people are fixated on power and greed and status so we all can’t get along. But if we did , this world would be a completely different place for sure. Most humans just want to live life in peach and happiness period
Depends on the movies. The RomCom stuff is obviously exaggerated for comic relief. But most movies are just reflections of things that the author has experienced on some level.
Everything is possible when people are normal... Men and women have changed. Standards have changed and dropped. Women don't appreciate good guys. Men don't chase after quality women. Men get a girl and expect sex the first date and when they get it they move on. Many men let themselves go and don't look after themselves, many women behave like they're God's gift to civilisation and they can play with their partners emotions and needs. They become possessive and treat their man like a mule they bought at the cattle market.
What happened to love and romance?
So my answer to have these created unrealistic expectations, no. Society and mortality has changed... These portray the relationship as it should be in an ideal situation.
No. If two people are on same page o see no reason why they can't be a fairytale couple. But fairytale are like the Facebook and Instagram reels - highlighting high points not showing lows. So it's not unrealistic couples can have these moments but grounded in reality that these are moments around daily grind.
The problems usually start when the grind becomes the only focus and people start looking elsewhere for the fairytale instead of recreating that passion and romance back into their partner.
For the most part yeah. Its not even about fairy tales, but just everyday interactions between man and women. I have sense that the push to mislead guys early on was highly intentional. This doesn't apply to romance novels tho. That kinda fairytale, women definitely want. That is the equivalent of porn.
Yes ofc, not because they can't be real, but it's because for the first time the movies are showing us what a real love used to be while in reality we have lost it!
@HawkPerception Yes, but you have to remember it’s Hollywood making it seem like a Fairy Tale so you will enjoy it.
Absolutely so , ludicrous expectations , relationships are a journey and tough , not a fairytale..
Yep, I think we have greater expectations about relationships now.
They ALWAYS were like that. Why? Because that's what many people want - an escape from their shitty lives. Why should they pay to watch other shitty lives on the movie screen or TV?
In part, yeah. A relationship isn’t just “happily ever after” but a full time job lol
No. But in a much more sane world not too long ago it was more common.
No they show the courting part. They don’t show six months in.
For sure and for long time
Possibly.
