Chia seeds: whole or ground?
would you purchase pre-ground or grind them yourself?
I think nutrition supplements like vitamins are sufficient. If you are in it for the fiber, well, that is up to your digestive track. Personally I can get by with low quantities (a banana at lunch, or an oatmeal cookie are more than good enough) and bad things happen if I have too much, so I'm kind of scared of them lol. My wife's Asian digestive system seems to prefer higher amounts so she might like this kind of thing.
In theory grinding the seeds shouldn't change the fiber, but it will. Considering how high they are though, I think it wouldn't hurt.
i'm more in it for the omega3 and other nutrients ><
I vote D - whole chia seeds are healthy enough, and adding another spoon takes a whole lot less effort than having them ground up.
what do you mean by adding another spoon?
i buy then in a small pouch (200g) and pour them and water into champagne glass and wait until it forms a gel water and i drink it
i don't have other types of glasses
I grind them up because it is easier for me to digest. I've tried chia and flax seeds whole and I get kind of sick, but not if I grind them up.
i see ☆ when i tried chia seeds dry i felt sick but if i soak them in water first it's fine.
Yeah, it can be a bit more difficult to digest for some. Soaking or grinding them should help. :)
Ground otherwise its harder to dijest.. Ahh I love chia... Chia pudding chia bread.. chia plants!
