Why do REALLY fat people not care about not being so fat?

I am a bit overweight myself, but I need to exercise and work out more. I don't eat that much really, but some people... when I see them at restaurants eating stuff they shouldn't be having and such... I just don't get it. Like you'd think at some point maybe it would be time to switch to salads? Not to be mean, but it's true. And it makes people make fun of Americans for being so fat too.

Maybe they're really sad inside. Being extremely overweight puts a lot of strain on your joints and it makes you feel exhausted a lot. When someone's super big doing simple things like standing, walking, tying shoes, or showers can be really challenging. Sure they should've stop a long time ago but maybe they feel as though they've reached the point of no return. If doing simple things is difficult alone, exercise and eating less may prove to be even harder. Not to mention dealing with constant criticism, they probably suffer from depression which results in less motivation. I'm definitely not condoning the action as becoming severely overweight is 100% preventable, but I can see why it's so hard for them to get the ball rolling.

I am VERY down myself. If anything it makes me lose my appetite, not gain more..

Some people have a different response to depression, whenever it's that time of the month for me and I'm feeling really emotional sometimes sweets help me feel better. I understand your weight may be causing you to feel really low, but understand that this is something you can change. People who exercise more frequently tend to be happier. Exercising and dieting don't need to be a chore either, there are really fun ways to get some physical fitness incorporated in you life and there are TONS of healthy recipes that are absolutely delicious! Do a little research and see what interests you. After that all you need to the dedication for it, and I'd say a healthier happier life is pretty good motivation.

People have differing weight problems for different reasons. Medical conditions, genes and others. Not all people overweight are just food gluttons and don't care. Or do you really think all overweight people just eat too much?
