Doctor prescribed me Adderall for my ADD.. read on?

I just started taking adderall as prescribed from my doctor for my ADD. I have a party Friday and was wondering if drinking 2 shots of Vodka is okay. I'm 21 (in college) I just messed up my age.

Adderall is a psycho-stimulant. Alcohol is a depressant, so as far as I know, mixing those two would be riskier than mixing alcohol and energy drinks. Try to google the reaction between the two because I'm sure there are a lot more dangerous situations that could happen. Best just call your doctor's office and run it by them before you mix.

It should say on the bottle of its safe to take with alcohol. I think it's okay since a lot of my college friends use it as a party drug and will drink and smoke while on it

Actually it makes you have a higher tolerance. So be careful, you can end up drinking way way more than you normally would because the stimulant effects kind of cancel out the depressive effects of alcohol.

I've taken Adderall and Vyvanse now for going on 8 years. So believe me, I have drank many many times wile taking Adderall.

alcohol and adderall affect the dopamine in your brain in different ways. so like another user said, i wouldn't mix the two for those reasons. best to ask your doctor.
