I took five Advil... Am I okay?

In a moment of mental weakness, I took 5 Advil at once. I'm currently 15, and weigh about 120 lbs. Five straight pills, no water or anything. What's the worst that could happen?

Note: nothing happened to me. I took them about 5 hours ago. This is the first time I've ever taken drugs in my life with this intent. I'm first in my class and already have Ivy League level grades. It won't happen again.

Yeah you'll be fine. Its the same thing as Ibuprofen and a lot of times doctors will tell you to take like 6 of them instead of prescribing painkillers.

That being said you are rather petite and probably don't have any major problems going on so don't do it again.

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT? You're lucky it was just five! You'll probably throw up or be constipated or something. But my gosh, never do that again. No matter how weak of a moment you have.

Just for future referance: for a small child it would take around a whole bottle to require a hospital trip.
Source: emt, we see parents calling 911 all the time if the child gets into the inprophin. I've never seen one that was in any actual emergency situation.

Not saying that it's okay to take that much! It can cause damage to your stomach and intestines. Just keep in mind if you go to the hospital over it they won't be able to do anything that you couldn't do at home to help other than purge you (if you took it recently)

It's probably a bigger deal if it's chronic. That said, it's probably not a terrible idea to contact a doctor or poison control center.

Drink lots of water, don't take any caffeine or any substance that can affect your system. Please see a doctor as soon as possible. Hope it wasn't extra-strength

You could suffer kidney failure, coma , death... you know Advil is same as Motrin very serious if you overdose
