I just took a Hiit class with weights and almost died, but squatting more than my body weight is too easy. What the hell?

I lift 5 days a week and I lift heavy. I just took a girly HIIT class with my girlfriend because she's been nagging me for a month to try it. I walked in there thinking I was going to own everyone and I almost died squatting high reps and pulses and stuff with really sissy weights. What the hell happened?
