Why do you drink alcohol?

It makes me more confident, so I can go out to a party or concert or club and feel confident enough to dance, talk to strangers, have fun without worrying what people think of me.
I never get drunk enough to black out or puke, just enough to get I nice level of silly-drunk.
I will only drink when I'm going to be in one of hose three situations (or if everyone around me is drinking and it's another type of social gathering)
That's why I hate he saying. "You must be really boring if you need alcohol/drugs to have a good time" like, fuck you? I probably wouldn't leave the house and have experiences if I didn't have liquor to give me a confidence boost.

I only drink generally once a week, just a bit. My boyfriend and I will have a shot or two each to help us relax as the week winds down and we want to get prepped for the weekend. Alcohol helps me relax a bit. Helps drown my sorrows, so to say. :P

Because wine everyone in a while is good for you and I enjoy the complexion, the layers a good glass gives I find being able to guess what all there is in it taste wise enjoyable, and pairing it with food I like since when you get it right the two compliment each other.

And because I enjoy making a cocktail and drinking it after work or a rough day, making a good cocktail is an art, and drinking it is satisfactory.

Remember though there is a fine line between drinking and being a drunk.

I like the taste, so I may have a glass of wine to wind down from the day. Or I could drink socially with friends. A good rule of thumb (for drinking socially) is to think about the reason for the outing. Are you going out to drink? Or are you going out to spend time with friends and drinking may happen? Going out for the purpose of drinking may not be the best.

I have social anxiety if I show up to a party sober people think I'm sad. After a few drinks I'm like the life of the party with jokes and bring witty... removes my nervous shield
