Did anyone here ever have corrective eye surgery, to fix their near or far sightedness?

I want to get it done, because I hate having to wear contact lenses or glasses.

My mom did, and she had to go in a second time because her eyesight wasn't completely fixed, and her vision is still a little blurry but good enough to drive and read at a reasonable distance. Maybe you should compare doctors ahead of time and ask if your eyes are good for it (I think it's more challenging for people with more astigmatism).

I have astigmatism in both eyes, so do you think even if I did get the surgery, my vision would still be somewhat blurry?
