How effective is baking soda for acne?

Thinking about using backing soda for mild acne. I heard it was supposed to be good for getting rid of acne but has anyone tried it?

Hmm I think baking soda would be too harsh. You should try to not irritate it. When I get a bump I use aloe vera gel. it has a soothing effect. They have the plant one and this other kind in a bottle (forgot the name. It's sold at Whole Foods Market. The gel is brown and the bottle is green) but it works great. I felt a bump about to form, used aloe vera gel and I dont know where the bump went! lol

not sure with the terms, but doesn't baking soda erode everything it touches, so it would burn your skin over time and leave a fairer area around the places you used baking soda.

I do use toothpaste though, If its an open pore, I find toothpaste to dry it up and bring down the pimple over night, no harm to the skin but a little dry.

Never heard of "backing" soda. Baking soda, yes. But not "backing" soda.

I think there's no better remedy then go drink lemon+honey glass of water on an empty stomach.
