How do you handle rejection?

No doubt it hurts but what do you do?

depends on the situation, If I get shot down on sight, then I soft of walk it off and don't let it bother me. If its a girl I'm reallyinterested in I distract myself by going to the gym or playing sports. Regardless I basically don't let it bother me too much, because there is no point, you tried, you failed, at least your living life rather than hiding away on the chance that you might be rejected. You can accept that you at least had the guts to put your pride on the line, and it didn't work out. No point sitting around depressed do out and try again.

Last time I suffered rejection, I stayed up until about 3:00 in the morning playing Castlevania. Worked pretty well for me.

I handle rejection really well, actually. It's not a good feeling, but I don't dwell on it. Things don't always work out; people don't always belong together. Trying to figure out why things turned out the way they did just makes it hurt more, so I don't like to do that, I just accept it for what it is.

I try to see it from a different perspective: Maybe the person wasn't right for me if I was rejected.

Of course it will hurt, but it just means that it wasn't meant to be.

Also, there is the case of maybe you were right for them, but they weren't right for you, or vice versa.

Yes, but a lot of us are so bent up over being hurt, we don't realize this one little fact. I've been in that situation before, and I dodged a bullet-

I hear ya, I've been in that situation too.

Emotions always get the best of everyone, that's the main cause.

Maybe not well but I do handle it and I don't avoid situations to get around it. :)
