but i dont know if i have it
help!
See your dentist and tell him about it. I experienced that same thing, except it hurt really bad because it felt like my bones were grinding together. Super painful, but I told my dentist and he was able to give me a night guard to help align my jaw properly. It also helps to stop doing certain things, like stay away from hard foods that could aggravate it and don't put pressure on your jaw.
I have some friends with tmj and it is manageable. They talk to their dentist about it and they have specific medicine to take when their jaw hurts.
You should definitely go see a dentist or doctor about it because they will be able to tell you what the problem is and help you through it.
but did you tell the dentist about the toothache or uncomfortable feeling?
Well, if you told them about it and they weren't worried about it, then I'm sure it's fine! They wouldn't just let you go if they thought something was wrong.
And if it keeps bothering you, then you can always call up to ask a question about the tooth or the jaw.
Sounds like a wisdom tooth. do you notice any kind of inflamation or have you any issues with your sinuses?(the sinuses run right near the upper jaw so when they swell they push down on the roots of the teeth causing pain.).
Then chances are its a wisdom tooth. Can you feel at the back of your jaw with your tonge and feel if their is any protrusions? If you can't feel anything then you might want to see a doctor, its almost certanly nothing but they will be able to at least tell you what is happening so you don't start thinking the worst.
Well like I said, go see a doctor or dentist just for some piece of mind (If its a wisdom tooth then it tends to take awhile to go away (the pain and swelling that is)) in the mean time take ibprofen/advil to reduce swelling and inflamation and that will probably solve your problem. What did your parents say when you told them?
did you tell the dentist about it? What did he say?
They didn't sayanything like they couldnt see a problem etc?
Well do you feel a protrusion in the back of your mouth?(like a tooth coming in?)
And does it still hurt?
its probably your wisdom tooth coming in. I think you'll be fine.
Not a problem, glad I could help.

Have you seen a physician regarding this issue? Does your jaw pop while eating or at all? Sometimes tooth decay can cause pains in the jaw. You have to ask a physician these questions and you may be sent to a Maxillofacial Surgeon, only they can give you a clear diagnoses if it is for sure, but your primary care physician is more than likely going to have to send you there.
If you have had your tetanus shot within 10 years, you're fine and you shouldn't worry about tetanus or lock jaw. I would go to the doctor though.
TMJ is not deadly...
