Do you know any people with Schizophrenia being cured?

I ask cause my family member has had it since she was 40 and now 53. She'll be delusional, halluicate, think I'm being controlled to do stuff like drink alcohol, go out at night to a bar, etc.

Is there any point in trying to interact with them? She blanks out 50% of the time, but when she has something to say, I have to listen lol.

It must be frustrating but she can't help those paranoid ideas. The catch 22 is that medical science for mental illness is still in the dark ages for the most part. She may be able to function better mentally on medication but those medicines have side effects that can ruin people's lives and health in other ways. Thats why they dont like staying on them. People with brain disorders are pretty screwed until this gets sorted out. It's really unfair.

There is unfortunately no cure for schizophrenia. However, if the proper treatment is administered via regularly taking pills as well as a therapist, the symptoms should be manageable for the most part.

my cousin has schizophrenia, he has taken pills before and it has suppressed the symptoms he looked a lot more normal just by the look on his face I could tell he was actually normal, but he stopped taking em and he's back to a whacko.
