I ran a 5:21 once. It was the first mile of a 5k so I definitely could have taken a few more seconds off if I had gone all-out for it.
I got there by doing cross-country in high school for 4 years. That's the only sport I actually did though, meaning I basically ran for 1/3 of the year and then took a 8 month break. So someone who ran seriously for 1 year straight could probably get there faster than I did. I lost a lot of progress to those breaks.

Like 9:30 I think. Endurance is not my strongsuit, asthma and back problems make distance running difficult. Sprinting I can keep up to most people to about 100 yds but I get winded.
Like 8 minutes 😜 I puke when I try to sprint lol.
You can try intervals, leg exercises, improving your endurance. Sprinting shorter distances helps you train to build speed too
My best is 6:48 but I'm horrible at long distance, I'm a sprinter all the way haha.

I'm not much of a runner per se, outside of playing sports anyways. But 7:05 is my mile PR, nothing spectacular.
5:20, my time for mile run qualifications. Didn't even make it to top 10.
Id rather run up and down a basketball court or a beer run lol
8:15 😞
