Feeling sore after a workout just means you worked your muscles enough to get them to form micro-tears, which will essentially turn into more 'muscle', as in muscle mass and your being stronger.

It's good to feel relatively sore once in a while, but be careful not to go too hardcore if you go back for a second workout session with muscles that are already sore. They'll probably be more prone to injury and such so as long as you take it easy the next day..

No pain, no gain. Also, bananas are a good post-workout food. High in potassium, which is great for muscle repair. :) )

Actually, just recently I met up with two nutritionists and personal trainers. They said that when you're working out you should never consistently be feeling sore. They said that if you're feeling sore, you moved too quickly through the levels of intensity of your workout and you should be gradually increasing the intensity. Obviously if you do something completely new to you and work muscles you haven't worked in a long time they said that's when it's normal to be sore. But they said it's very unhealthy to be so sore it impacts daily functions

Totally! I've felt that way as well. If you haven't worked out for a while, then it's obviously going to get sore. But also if the workout is intense, then there is a feeling of soreness. You know the saying "get ripped?" Well, a slight tear in your muscle makes your brain want to replace it, therefore putting two times the original layer of muscle there. So it's totally normal! Just don't hurt yourself or push yourself to much. Good luck with your workouts!

Well naturally when you work out, your muscles are working and tear (minimally) and from tearing they rebuild stronger and better.

Yes if it's like the rest of the next day, but it's not healthy if your sore like for a full week after your workout...
