There are diet pills that work, but, you should view them in the way @consultantisback suggests. Otherwise you can build up a tolerance to them, and then yr REALLY up shit creek.
It is possible to rotate between appetite suppressants responsibly -- like, using one for 6-8 weeks, then another for 6-8 weeks, etc. -- indefinitely. But, that takes a lot of knowledge and self-control, and you should only try it under capable professional supervision (and only once you have exhausted EVERY other option, in terms of weight loss).
And, you shouldn't do anything like that until you are at least 18, or even 20 or 21.
Right now, yr body is still growing and still filling out. Please, just eat enough to allow it to do so.
Plus, ironically, if you get really skinny now, yr weight set-point will be HIGHER for yr entire adult life. This is the result of a complicated cascade of hormones, which is way way too much to explain here... but, in essence, yr body will overcompensate.

At yr age, yr doctor's main concern is that you are eating enough to maintain yr health. For a girl under 18, a doctor will ALWAYS recommend a diet that tends to make her gain weight, over a diet that makes her lose it, unless she is way way WAY overweight.
I mean, srsly, doctors are absolutely terrified of eating disorders, and they will totally make recommendations that go too far the other way, just to steer clear of anorexia nervosa.
That link contains the realness about fat loss diets. A good fat-loss diet will contain almost none of the foods you are currently eating, and absolutely must have protein as its primary macronutrient.

Fruit is still sugar. It's still not great for you, in more than small quantities. You don't really NEED to eat any of it, as long as yr getting vitamins from somewhere.

You should not be doing pills to lose weight.
At your age it's so easy to lose weight. You need to have self control over yummy stuff that attracts your eyes and your mouth. Eat when you're hungry, and not when something smells or looks good. Never eat just to eat. And perhaps he culprit could also be who makes the shopping in your home.
If your cabinets and fridge are full of sugary fattening foods, then it's gonna be really hard for you to achieve your goals.
Use the internet to inform yourself on what's healthy and what's not, then make a list and give it to your mom, more whomever does the shopping, and tell them you want everyone to start eating healthy.
Also if you have gym class at school, do not slack off and just go there to walk like a turtle with friends while you gossip. Instead, use that hour to actually do something while you're there.
Your metabolism right now is wayyyy faster than how it will be later when you're older. So it's better to lose the weight off now, than later. ... cause later it will be that much more difficult.02 Reply

579 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. In my experience, weight loss pills suck. I tried them once and only took HALF the daily recommended dosage.. and I was so nauseous I barely ate. Granted, I probably would have lost weight if I continued, since I wasn't eating lol, but that's not the right way to do it.
You just need to add cardio exercise to your daily life. It's not going to work unless you're going to stick with it. Just start small, like a 15- minute walk/jog every morning. As for diet, don't deprive yourself. Just let unhealthy food be a treat rather than a common meal

+1 yDiet pills will not make you "in shape." You know how you get in shape? By getting in shape: eating healthy, working out, getting what you need from your food. What you SHOULD do, rather than pop pills that won't work or will only work temporarily until you plateau, is see a doctor and/or a dietitian. Chances are, you just aren't going about weight loss in the right way to begin with, as most "diets" will have quick weight loss that doesn't last because they are impractical. See a doctor, get some real, healthy advice before you try anything else.

I'm not being rude I am being straight forward, and frankly I sincerely doubt it. If you worked with a doctor and a dietitian you wouldn't be struggling unless you weren't following the program or unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from losing weight, in such a case diet pills would have no effect on you.
You also have to take into account that diet pills are temporary and over the counter ones are not guaranteed to work, especially since they all suggest that you take them as a regiment in healthy eating and exercising. Believe me, I had an eating disorder and tried abusing them before and they are not a magical fix.
If you're that concerned perhaps you should talk to your parents about it.
+1 yI never believe the " I tried everything but it doesn't work' excuse (unless you have some kind of medical condition like a thyroid problem or so). You're probably over eating without realizing it, start counting your calorie intake.

+1 yYou can get addicted if not careful. Try getting better nutrition! And either working out at the gym or at home when you're there. You don't need a bunch of equipment just look up different exercises that don't require anything and if you feel it's necessary to go to a gym find a good one

Pills help shed some of the last layer stubborn fat/water weight. It can't be a primary element of your fitness goals.
