Are you for or against organ transplants?

Obviously there are pros on cons to this matter one pro for example is it could prolong someone's life span and one con for instance would be the amount of immunosuppressents they would have to take for their immune system to not reject the new organ and all the terrible side effects those drugs have.

For. It really tells you how desperate and dire a situation is for someone when they're willing to risk organ rejection and accept popping pills for life. So who am I to prevent someone from undergoing a medical procedure that might save their life?

Of course, the even better option is if we had a safer, affordable and commonly available alternative to organ transplant. But we don't have that yet. :/

Their coming closer for one for a heart there is a like a plastic heart machine that can function like a heart, but its not for every heart disease. For kidneys I would imagine maybe in the future they might have some like plastic kidney replica that can act like a dialysis machine either that or like stem cell kidney treatment.

And no sorry :( I heard marijuana can help with it though but it doesn't release inocular pressure as long as the drugs.

Its not approved but it says its being researched and there is scholarly articles about it for glaucoma

If the person lost their organ duo to a sickness, cancer, etc then yes they should be able to get a new one. If the person was stupid and destroyed their organs with drugs then they should still be able to get the transplant but at a fee. I myself am an organ donor

I'm against. 1st off I can't ind the success rate of transplants, any transplants.
My friend Dino got a lung transplant due to hospital error his lungs failed. Long story short he was in & out of intensive care & rehab for 18 months & died. That was quite an emotional toll on him, his family & friends.
Was it worth it? NO!

Well if its after I die then for it because obviously I am not going to need it. If its while alive it depends but since its a choice I have nothing against it because it can save the persons life. Either way their is no real downside since you choose it or are already dead.

Occupational therapy that's pretty cool I've taken a few psychology classes and one sociology class. What do you like most about it?

The neuroscience aspect. Like the parts of the brain responsible for what and the chemicals/neurotransmitters responsible for what etc. I'm getting my bachelor's in psychology right now but the end goal is to have a doctorate in neuropsychology.

I'm very smart in some ways, not so much in offers.

Yeah, its basically a field that links the study of neurology and psychology. You can think of it as neurology with applied psychology or vice versa. Lol

Yeah that makes sense lol like they link towards other things like I remember learning in my one psychology class my professor was really smart and he used to work at a mental institution. Anyways I remember learning how the prefontal cortex doesn't fully develop until the age of 19 and that's like your part of the brain that makes the judgments and what not. Also like chemistry and biology are linked together too since those neurotransmitter you mentioned are chemicals too.

Actually I just started this semester and I'm enrolled in 4 classes at the moment.

Oh I thought you were getting your degree this year lol. Wow college was fun the first year for me, but then it just starts to get boring, but that's just me lol. I am waiting to see if they will accept me into my program, they said March 1st they will notify me if I got accepted or not. I've been waiting more than 6 months now so I am really anxious.

Definitely for it. There's a lot of risks but it's helped a lot of people, including members of my own family, so if there's a chance my organs can help someone else, I don't see how I can be against it.
