What is the difference between meditation and yoga?

They're very closely related, as sometimes yoga involves mediation either before or after your practice. Essentially, yoga is a form of exercise that focuses on stretching muscles, improving balance, and strength. Meditation is simply sitting in silence with a clear mind and entering a meditative state. I guess one could say that yoga is meditation with movement involved, because I know yoga feels very much like meditation for me.

yoga includes also a physical exercises ad stretching with meditation... meditation itself is just kind of praying or deep concentrating on something without physical exercises

yoga is more of meditation by means of stretching and exercise whereas meditation is simply sitting in one spot and meditating

yoga is considered a form of meditation achieved through focusing on stretches and positions. a focus so concentrated that you are essentially meditating and clearing your mind of other things

meditation aims for the same end (clearing you mind of extraneous stuff) without the physical activity

Yoga is more of a physical activity where you loosen up your body where-as meditation, most of the time, involves no movement and is more so for the mind. You can probably combine them though.
