My cough blocks my airways I think im gonna die?

I've been having a bad cough for a couple of days and sometimes when i cough the mucus blocks my airways i sometimes think i might die, help?

Get some over the counter cough medicine that cuts the cough and also cuts back on the mucous. Make sure to take the daytime version by day and the night time version at night. (The night time medicine has stuff inside that you should not be driving while on.) Make sure you take it per the directions as often as they allow, so it does not catch up with you again.

Go see a doctor, you probably have a sinus infection. In the meantime, use a decongestant, use a humidifier (or just run a hot shower if you don't have one), use a nose spray, and hopefully it will clear you up enough in the mean time.
