Why did my cat die? He died yesterday?

He was only 4 years old and didn't get any recent vaccines or anything. He first started spazing out on the floor then he started making these coughing or choking sounds and then a minute later he stopped breathing so we rushed him to the vet. There was also blood in his mouth so maybe he had a blood clot or some kind of heart problem. Unfortunately they couldn't save him and I have no idea how he could die so suddenly. What could be a possible explanation to his death?

He was also an outdoor cat so I don't know if that could play a factor in his death.

I'm sorry for your loss. If they can't find something stuck in his throat, then it was most likely something in his lungs or stomach. Your parents may not want to do an autopsy, but it could be useful to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Try to convince them to do it anyway.

Umm maybe he had rabies or perhaps like you said, a blood clot or something.

He couldn't have had rabies. He was always a sweet cat and never hissed at anyone. He was a shy cat.

Sorry for your loss. It hurts more than most people can imagine.
Cats are known to ingest stuff their systems can't handle. Finding blood in his mouth my guess is he choked on something.
I think it would help you to get another cat.

The only we can know exactly is an autopsy but my parents didn't want to do that.

Sounds like a lung problem perhaps. Like he was coughing up blood, so that makes sense. I don't know what would cause that though. I'm sorry for your loss.

its highly possible that your cat has swalloed something that can't be swallowed or your cat was getting sick thats why he was coughing and choking. you should've take him to the doctor before.
