How long after new tattoo can I get back to the gym?

I got a large thigh piece done yesterday (Thursday) and was wondering how soon I can get back to the gym and how careful I should be with it once I get back?

Probably should wait maybe a week or so to let it heal. If you can't wait a week then AT LEAST wait 48 hours (2 days) before working out again.

I had a thigh piece done a little over a year ago and didn't go to the gym for 2 weeks, just to be safe. Wait for at least a week. Then it can handle the sweat, heat, and pressure that comes from exercising.

Yeah, I guess. I experienced it as just a really bad sunburn, not very painful at all, just annoying. Anyways, wait until your skin stops being sore to the touch.

well you have an open wound... I would wait at least a week to do legs. You can do arms with no trouble now I think
