Right so gym nuts out there I want your advice/estimate. As the question says I used to go to the gym with Mates and workout 4 days a week 1-2h sessions, I started when I was 15 and kept going consistently until I was 19 at that point I was pretty burnt out as lifting weights was no longer fun by myself and the gym buddies from school/uni moved on. So I stopped. Now my question is if I went back how long would it take for me to return to my previous physical self? Mind you I was a good lad and never took any steroids or supplements 😂 just meats for protein snacks lol. I usually hear people reckon several months but in my head that feels way too quickly to recover.

It's pretty hard to tell since we don't know what you looked like and how strong and active you were, but it would definitely take at least 4-6 months to see visible changes... See the improvement in your strength, flexibility and also your muscles. Maybe more than a year to get back to the way you were. Anyway, good luck!
Hmm I Def was not flexible aha, hmm what would you like to know? I don't have any pictures as I wasn't photogenic back then so can't really say. But yeah 4-6months sounds more plausible
I meant, if you had abs or something that will take more than few months for you to achieve. If you didn't exactly have very defined abs but could definitely lifts weight and was active, I'd say 4-6 months is enough for you to get back to your old self. So, yeah, you can do it. Don't quit. Maybe ask some friend to join a gym too.. for motivation
I did have a six pack yeah lol, not anymore for sure lockdown and the trips to the pub after got rid of that haha. Hmm I could bench 40kg dumbbells 6 reps, shoulder press 34kg dumbbells 6 reps (was proud of this one), I didn't use any free weights for back so can't really tell you fair estimate but pull 76kg on the pull down machine 8reps wide grip, about 26kg dumbbells curls 6 reps, triceps was barbell with 25kg each side skullcrushers with the lower to the floor overhead extension then pull back up. If any of that mean anything to you 😂 I'm sorry I don't know any of the terminology aha
Congratulations 🎊
